How to buy a virtual plot with Solana USDC

Little Town is a browser-based 3D town. You can explore it freely, then use Phantom and Solana mainnet USDC to purchase the operating rights to a virtual plot and build a storefront.

What you need

You can look around without an account or wallet. To buy, sign in to Little Town and use Phantom with USDC on Solana mainnet and a little SOL for network and account fees. USDC on another network cannot be used in this checkout. The minimum plot price is 1 USDC; the current quote may be higher.

Choose a plot and review the quote

Open the town, select a plot and inspect its size, height limit, current holder and current price. Use the purchase action and review the transaction in Phantom. Preparing a quote does not reserve the plot. Do not send an informal transfer to a wallet address: the checkout transaction is what the website uses to deliver the plot.

When does the plot become yours?

Only a successful transaction transfers the plot. If two buyers compete for the same quote, the first successful on-chain transaction wins. The competing transaction does not spend its USDC, though Solana network fees can still apply. If your quote has expired or the plot has changed, refresh it before signing again.

What happens after you buy?

Open the editor to create your main building, add trees or decorations, and set a name, description and website link. All objects must fit within the plot and its height limit. Every plot remains available for another visitor to buy at the current listed price; ownership does not have a weekly expiry.

How the price changes

A completed sale doubles the next listed price. At 00:00 UTC each day, the price is multiplied by 0.5^(1/7), with a floor of 1 USDC. For example, a listed price of 8 USDC becomes approximately 4 USDC after seven days without a sale, and a sale at 4 USDC sets the next price to 8 USDC. On resale, the previous holder receives 90% of the sale price and the platform receives 10%. The first sale of an unowned plot goes to the platform.

What you own, and how proceeds arrive

This is a virtual operating right inside Little Town, not real property or an NFT. Prices and future demand are uncertain. A verified, bound receiving wallet can receive the previous holder’s share in the purchase transaction. If no receiving wallet is bound, proceeds are recorded as a pending claim and the holder can provide a Solana address for the platform to process later.
